The Leafs are going to make the playoffs?

The Toronto Maple Leafs just recently had a home and home against the Boston Bruins. One of the best teams in the NHL. They did very well taking three out of a possible four points. Many fans are still upset about them losing in the shootout in their away game. So far they are  0 for 4 in the contest. I bet Leaf fans are thanking the rule book for not having the shootout in the playoffs. I'd say these past two games have proven something about this years team. That is that they can hang with the best teams in the NHL. Both games were close, tough games. The Leafs should leave Boston with their heads held high.

The New And Improved Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays last won the World Series in 1993. This upcoming 2013 season, the Jays have their eyes set on returning to champions of the MLB as they did 20 seasons ago. Much like the last time they won the award they have added a list of valuable players to their roster. Management is rolling the dice on big time players and even bigger payrolls. Many Toronto Blue Jays fans are overwhelmed by Alex Anthopoulos roster moves this off-season. As the team acquired a bunch of all-stars and former all-stars. The team finally has a solid pitching rotation with the addition of R.A. Dickey, Mark Buehrle and Josh Johnson. One more heavy bat in Melky Cabrera. Then Jose Reyes at Shortstop. Not to mention the return of the veteran catcher John Buck. This has got to be one of the biggest changes for the better a team has done in baseball for a long time. Just looking at the pitching rotation you can tell the manner has changed in Toronto. Ricky Romero the Blue Jays arguably best pitcher over the last few years has been placed 5th in the rotation after up and down past season. This team looks more than a legit contender for the World Series. Other Toronto sport teams could take notes on how the Toronto Blue Jays handled the 2012-2013 off-season.
